Steam Named to Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest Growing Companies

Steam has been named #254 on the Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest Growing Companies.

Steam Logistics, a leading technology-enabled international logistics company, announced today that it has been named to Inc. Magazine’s annual list of America’s Fastest Growing Companies. Steam’s rank is #254, the highest ranking for any international freight forwarder and customs broker. The company’s three-year growth rate from 2013 to 2016 was 1,688%.

“This recognition is a great testament to the amazing team we have been able to assemble here at Steam,” said Jason Provonsha, Steam’s CEO. “Growth like this only comes from a team that is bought in on our vision and who loves what they are doing. We can’t thank them enough for that commitment.”

Steam’s President and COO, Steve Cox, added, “We are building a rocket ship here. We know we have a strategy that will bring new life to an otherwise aging industry and we believe this is just the beginning of a long period of explosive growth. That’s an exciting place to be for all of us.”

Steam was founded in 2012 by former executives of Access America Transport, a domestic third-party logistics company which grew to $500 million in annual sales before merging with Chicago-based Coyote Logistics in 2014. Steam’s trajectory is similar to that of Access and it is bringing a technology focus to an aging industry to drive efficiency and transparency for international shippers worldwide.

To qualify for the Inc. 5000 ranking, companies must be privately-owned, based in the United States, and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company). The ranking is based on company revenue growth from 2013 to 2016.
